The Peoples Food Pantry is looking for a dedicated Pantry Manager to take the lead in our operations, ensuring that hundreds of families in the Merrimack Valley receive the food and personal care items they need every week.

Location: North Andover, MA
Position Type: Part-Time (20 hours/week) | Exempt
Schedule: Flexible, with required on-site hours Monday morning and afternoon and Tuesday mornings
Your Role as Pantry Manager
As the Pantry Manager, you will be the driving force behind the pantry’s success, managing food procurement, distribution, and volunteer coordination. You’ll play a critical role in expanding our reach, improving efficiency, and ensuring that every client is served with dignity and respect.
Key Responsibilities
- Inventory & Procurement: Source food from the Greater Boston Food Bank, supermarkets, farms, and local food drives while keeping our shelves stocked.
- Operations & Logistics: Oversee food delivery, storage, and organization to ensure smooth weekly client distributions
- Client Distribution Management: Set up and oversee in-person shopping days, making the process efficient and welcoming for all clients.
- Volunteer Coordination: Organize, schedule, and guide our amazing team of volunteers to ensure seamless pantry operations.
- Facility Oversight: Keep our pantry space clean, organized, and well-stocked.
- Strategic Growth & Reporting: Work closely with the Board of Directors to enhance pantry operations, manage budgets, and contribute to long-term planning.
What You Bring
- Strong organizational and leadership skills with experience managing day-to-day operations
- Ability to work in a diverse community with excellent communication skills
- Problem-solving mindset – you can think on your feet and take initiative
- ServSafe Manager Certification (or willingness to obtain – we’ll cover the cost!)
- Basic computer skills (Google applications, spreadsheets, email)
- Ability to lift 35 lbs and stand for extended periods
Bonus Points If You Have
- Bilingual skills (Spanish or other languages)
- A car and valid driver’s license
